We are introducing new forms to help you save time on admin work and make it easy to connect with people.
We recently introduced a great new feature in "Reporting" that allows you to understand the effect on all messages - both emails and text messages (SMS). Now you can see who opens, clicks or doesn't receive your messages. This is the first step to help you understand the impact of all the efforts you put into your communication. It also allows you to start experimenting and comparing what works and what does not.
ChurchDesk is always aiming to create the best tools for the church so we can support its growth, both today and in the future; so it’s a big day for ChurchDesk! Today, we’re adding the possibility of coordinating tasks between staff and volunteers to our system. We believe we have to make it as easy as possible to get involved in the church and its work, and we hope our new feature goes some way to aiding this.
Our new Chief Product Officer (CPO), Kenneth Svenningsen, starts at ChurchDesk this week and we’re very excited about it. Kenneth aims to be the link between the church’s needs and the ongoing development at ChurchDesk, and henceforth will be responsible for making sure our product delivers the greatest possible value to the church. With his hire we are investing more in product development than ever before, in order to become the best possible partner to the church.
A lot has happened at ChurchDesk in the last year. Most importantly, we have become a truly integrated Church Engagement Platform, which helps churches across the country communicate with thousands of people every day.
We are launching the greatest improvement to our app so far, making it possible to communicate with your congregation from your phone. When we launched “People” last autumn it was with the ambition to make it simple to use for direct and personal communication with the congregation and other interested people. We believe that the church is under increasing pressure - it must find a way to communicate that resonates with the youth group, and have the tools to support the employees and volunteers in the church in the best possible way. Since smartphones have recently overtaken laptops as the UK internet users’ number one device, these tools cannot be restricted to computer use, they have to also be available via phone. Therefore it is with great pleasure that we announce this update.
We are rolling out an important improvement. This isn’t just a new feature, but an entirely new way of using ChurchDesk, with a centralised dashboard with important personalised insights. What if we could help you make better decisions based on data that you have already built? We want to help you in your daily work by presenting insights that are relevant to you, enabling you to learn more from and about your congregation.
Some of you might be wondering what the people behind ChurchDesk are working on these days? Well let me tell you...
The congregations' communication expectations are growing. Delivery should be at agreed intervals, via various platforms, email, text and of course social media. The church is not immune to these expectations and this provides both new opportunities and new challenges. These new opportunities and challenges place huge demands on a church that does not have the tools to cope. This is why we are proud to be launching our new tool for church communication.
I will jumb right into it! Last week I got a great idea and wrote out to 1,000 of our active users and asked if they could find 10-15 minutes of their time to talk to me.
