Copenhagen/Groningen, 9 June 2026 — ChurchDesk, the leading technology partner for churches in Europe, today announced that Hagru B.V., the Dutch market leader in church administration software, has joined ChurchDesk. The move strengthens ChurchDesk’s European presence and extends its platform to more than 10,000 churches and parishes.
Hagru was founded in 1998 and headquartered in Groningen. Over more than 25 years it has built a trusted suite of products. The company is the market leader in church software in the Netherlands, serving more than 1,000 churches with CRM, fundraising, accounting and engagement app products.
By joining ChurchDesk, Hagru customers will get access to a broader, more integrated product suite while continuing to work with the same dedicated team they already know. No immediate changes to products, contracts, or support channels are planned. Over time, ChurchDesk plans to integrate certain Hagru products into the ChurchDesk platform. Customers will benefit from a larger organization, accelerated product development, and access to ChurchDesk’s full suite of tools for parish administration, member communication, fundraising, cemetery management, and websites.
Statements from leadership
After having worked with great passion for churches in the Netherlands for many years, Hagru has grown into the market leader in church administration software — a development I am particularly proud of, made possible by a great team and the trust of our customers. Today, a new phase begins. With the ChurchDesk team, Hagru gains a strong partner that will further professionalize the organization and prepare it for the next phase of growth. Our shared vision is clear: to support churches with robust, reliable, and professional software, so they can focus on what truly matters.
